About This Item

Jirí z Kunštátu a Podebrad (23.4.1420 – 22.3.1471) od roku 1458 ceský král, známý také jako “husitský král”. Geocoin pripomíná 550. výrocí jeho korunovace v breznu 1458. Po zvolení králem zacal v kvetnu 1458 vyjednávat s evropskými panovníky o projektu Všeobecné mírové organizace národu (obdobe dnešní OSN ci EU), založené na principech národní svrchovanosti státu, nevmešování se a rešení sporu pred mezinárodním tribunálem. Na podporu této myšlenky dal vyslat poselstvo, vedené Zdenkem Lvem z Rožmitálu, známé také jako poselstvo “Z Cech až na konec sveta” (viz román A. Jiráska podle deníku Václava Šaška z Bírkova).

George of Kunštát and Podebrady (April 23, 1420 - March 22, 1471), also known as Podebrad or Podiebrad (Czech: Jirí z Podebrad), was King of Bohemia (1458-1471). He was leader of the Hussites. George proposed a pan-European Christian League to unite all states in defense against the Turkish threat in the east. He sent Leo of Rozmital on a tour of European courts to promote this idea.

Ich konnte die Coin leider nicht so schnell online - niederlegen.

Evtl. möchte Omi K sie ja nochmal niederlegen, damit die Coin-Reiseroute passt.
