Seeks to travel to Alaska, where all huskies enjoy the cold weather and the freedom to run long distances. Update: This travel bug's namesake, Sasha, passed away on 11/5/2009 at the age of 14 1/2. She was the best dog ever!!! She will be greatly missed!
Update #2: We have a new red and white husky named Sequoia. She is 2 years old.
Living with a Siberian Husky: A Siberian is the most beguiling and loving dog. It has a great zest for life, boundless love in it's heart, and a mischievous spirit. It is classically beautiful, with friendly,spirit-filled eyes. A husky is most trustworthy around young children and small animals. It delights in their company and is a loyal wonderful companion for life. It is not prone to barking, but lets off a characteristic howl like a singing when making itself heard. They require low maintenance and do not eat large amounts of food. They are a very sturdy dog and are wonderful in the sports area Great in winter sports, they love to pull loads on skis and sleds;even in the summer, they will always pull and play.

I couldn't have found a better TB as a dog owner I know the loss that you feel. Losing a best friend after a lifetime. Plan on placing up north closer to its final home.

I love this TB, especially since I used to have two siberian huskies. I will move this TB soon.

When I picked up this TB, the baggie was folded so that a blue sticker indicating "Asia" was on the outside, so I took the TB to position it better for an international flight. I was surprised when I got off the cruise ship and looked more carefully at the TB with all it's neat hitchhikers .... only to find out it wanted to be in Alaska. I can't go back to Alaska but plan on leaving it in the Pacific NW so maybe it will make it back there. I'll mark out the Asia sticker.
