I can't make it to Europe, Doug may as well have fun and visit some historical places and have his picture taken. He is spreading lots of smiles from what I hear, keep up the good work.

DOUG IS A CACHE WITH-IN A CACHE. HE'S A GOLDEN ARCHES TOY/COIN PURSE. I HAVE PLACED A NEW 2005 BUFFALO NICKLE IN IT FOR WHOEVER FINDS IT AFTER I PLACE IT. IF YOU WANT, PUT SOMETHING ESLE IN ITS' PLACE, BUT NOT REQUIRED. Update: Doug has had an unfortunate accident. He tangled with a playful lab puppy and has a few holes chewed in him. Please replace his bandages if needed, Thank you.

Well, Doug had and recovered from surgery in the ICU at Landstuhl. He said that he felt a million times better and asked if he could go and play around in the surrounding woods. So I took him to my cache where he has a couple of friends to talk to until it is time to return on his journy. His nose....well....it's doing much better and has a new dressing. See photos! Good luck and good travels Doug!!
BTW: Placed a couple of Swiss Franc coin in him to help pay for his journey.

  • Recovery Here's Doug just chillin out in the ICU @ Landstuhl during his recovery from surgery.
  • Up and about Here Doug is done with recovery and talking with Dr. Dorlac, one of the very best and my personal favorite Doctors in the ICU. They had a great coversation and it was a sad parting, but Doug wanted to go and play, so after goodbyes he headed out.

Hey there!!! Mr. Doug made the long trip across the big water so that he could get some serious medical treatment! Well, he came to the right place!!! He is currently at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany!!! He has had a great time visiting with all the war heros here and listening to thier stories! He has brought many smiles when they were needed most. He told me that he plans to spend a couple more days here with the soldiers before he goes to play in the woods. I'll keep you updated on his process.

Kodiak50 and clan found it at 1:30 PM. bandages are still intact. Spoke to Doug and he wants to go to a hospital for treatment. I have just the place for him to go. Keep your eyes open for it ... Diego1737.

12/15/05: Doug is on his way to get some medical treatment for his war wounds. WE put some extra cash in Doug's stash so that he can survive on his trip. Keep your eyes on this one to see where he ends up. Not every traveler gets to be so lucky.

12/28/50 Birthday of a rookie cacher. Just got word that Doug has arrived for his medical treatment. We have no doubt that Doug will be well treated and soon will be on his merry way.
