This coin's mission is to continue the mission of the Strand's Prickly Pear Geocoin (TB25YDW); a mission of Texan (and now Californian) Geocacher goodwill. We want this coin to end up in geocacher LettyN's hands in the Netherlands. If it makes it that far, LettyN can choose to either keep it or let it continue its journey. PLEASE do not keep the coin! It is meant to be moved and enjoyed by as many people as possible, and end up overseas!
Here's the history on this mission from the Strand's geocoin: "On a work trip to Ireland in January '08, I picked up a coin and brought it back, letting my son put it in his cache. It was stolen from the cache within days. I've since relocated that cache. I feel horrible about that, so here is the deal. This coin is a gift from the Strand Family to LettyN, the owner of the stolen Geocaching Ireland coin (TB1N593.) Help me get it to Holland. Help me restore our faith in traveling items and global cachers - let's move this coin from Texas to Europe!"
Our part of the Strand's geocoin travels put it into a geocache here in California that was unfortunately muggled as well. We definitely did not want the mission to be ended like that, so we are donating this Lighthouse suncatcher geocoin to the cause. As the coin reads, THE GREATER THE ADVERSITY THE BRIGHTER THE LIGHT OF OPPORTUNITY. May it make it to the Netherlands safely!

We tried to get this to the Netherlands, but our time in Amsterdam was short and we were unable to locate a cache capable of holding a bug. this was our next closest stop. At least it is much closer than Arkansas ;) there is another bug in the same cache heading for Holland so maybe they can ride together.
