Current Goal

We would like to send these klompen back to the owner's birth place - Pijnacker, The Netherlands and then come back home to Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. This is a long trip so if these klompen could get to any of the many cities that have Dutch roots, like Orange City, IA or Holland, MI that would be great. Please send any photos of the klompen at any place or with anything that may be Dutch related would very much appreciated.

About This Item

Canada Klompen

The Canadian Klompen are the small souvenirs that are made in The Netherlands for tourists and visitors. The full size klompen are most used in the gardens and on the farms. Orginally made with hand tools, they are now mostly made by machine and the finished by hand. The wood of choice is black poplar. Although the Dutch are famous for the klompen they are used all over Europe on the farms and in the gardens before the coming of the rubber boots.

Unfortunately this TB is not found in the cache :(

As trackable owner you can mark the TB as missing, which will give the correct status to the TB and also it will not show up in the inventory of the cache anymore. Would you please update the status?
