Dropped in JENNY AND PETER ON THE VENICE PASEOS
When I found out that I would be coming out here for business, I asked around about whether anyone had TBs that they wanted to send out this way. I know that MOSM is partial to helping TBs with their missions, and sure enough he had one that wanted to go. So I stopped after work where we cross paths and picked up Naomi from him.
She flew with me on United Airlines from Chicago O'Hare to LAX, and stayed in the very nice Hyatt Place Ontario Mills (http://ontariomills.place.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/place/index.jsp). After two days of working and one night of caching, I had to drive back to LA to be close to the airport. After I checked in to my new hotel (Raddision at LAX), Naomi and I went on our mission.
At the recommendation of the Concierge, we drove to Venice Beach. I picked up a couple of postcards for my kids while Naomi took in the sights. We enjoyed the sunset together, and took some pictures, and then drove over to Chaya Venice for an awesome sushi meal. Afterward, Naomi was getting a little tired, so we found a nearby TB hotel and I dropped her off. It wasn't just any hotel, either... it was a mere block from Venice Beach on a quiet and beautiful tree-lined paseo. Goodbye, Naomi! It was a pleasure spending time with you!
I hear that Naomi has already found her next ride, and is off on the next leg of her adventure.... take care!!
