I want to go back to "where the buffalo roam". Help me make it to the Great Plains of the U.S. If I make it there, send me around the world to spread the word that me and my relatives have come back in numbers from just the few hundred that were left at the end of the 19th century!

Our numbers were drastically reduced during the 19th century as over 50 million were slaughtered by the pioneers and the government. Thanks to the efforts of many people and organizations, we have come back from the brink of extinction and now number close to 400,000. Bison Bob is TRULY on the great plains now that he's in Oklahoma, Sorry Texas. .
Update
Planning on taking him to the Wichita Wildlife refuge so that he can be with real Plains Bison. There are over 650 Plains Bison currently on the refuge. Will find a nice Cache for him there.

Couldn't resist picking up this travel bug, even though he's too big for a lot of caches these days. 😉
Too bad we didn't have him last month when we visited GCZ3K0 "Where the Buffalo Roam"! Oklahoma has two other caches with similar names, but both are micros, so we'll just have to find another cache for Bison Bob.

Bison Bob is officially on the Great Plains! We dropped him off in Cadillac Ranch Travel Bug Rest Stop just outside of Amarillo, TX this afternoon. It was so cool to be the team responsible getting him to his destination. He should really see Palo Duro Canyon while he is in the area. Enjoy the Plains Bison Bob!

Great news! He's nearly there but Texas is a big state. We grabed Bison Bob today from Return from Project A.P.E. (a travel bug hotel) in Austin, TX while geocaching with MarmiesOnToast. We are going where he wants to go. We visit family in Amarillo on the Southern Great Plains. We will be glad to get him there. The only problem is we aren't going until Christmas. We know other people who go that direction once in a while and we will try to get him a ride sooner.
