About This Item

Here's what you're looking for!

Is this the world's largest travel bug? We think it just may be!

Our 2013 Gold Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer with sleeper berth adds about 20 feet in front of the 53-foot Prime, Inc. refrigerated trailers we pull around the USA. Our tractor is 12.5 feet tall, and the trailers are 13.5 feet tall. We measure about 8.5 feet across. That means we are hauling over 8000 cubic feet of truck around! If you know of a larger travel bug than that, by all means, let us know!

One of the things we would like to use our travel bug for is to encourage safe driving habits around 18-wheelers, because we see a lot of 4-wheeler drivers do things that could endanger their lives (and ours!). The MAIN thing we'd like to ask you all to do is this -  LEAVE A LOT OF SPACE around us. If you hang around next to us, we might lose track of you and change lanes into your car. If you are too close to us in the rear, we can't see you at all in most cases. If you are too close to us in the front, and something happens to your car, or someone else causes a traffic jam in front of you, we might not even be able to react before you are squashed dead like a bug and we're a quarter mile down the road from where we started braking. We know you don't mean to do it, because you care about your loved ones too much to put them at risk, so PLEASE, give us room to do our job safely. THANKS!

Now, OUR mission as a travel bug, like most "mobile" travel bugs, is to be SEEN! - and to that end, we will post a note to this travel bug page as often as possible to let you know what our route will be for the next day or so, then YOUR mission will be to find us and log a discovery of our truck, including the highway and mile marker, or a description of the location (between X and Y towns, or near the intersection of Hwy A and Hwy B in which state, something like that) where you saw us, and approximate time.

The travel bug code is displayed prominently on both sides of our tractor. HONK if you see us!

Happy Trails,
Candy and Wayne
