Hey, we found this little guy, while we were "Blazing Trails" in Holley by the Sea. We know a good gator hole to drop him off at. Thanks

Picked up Allie, had to where we live is just right for gators, then a saw who owns her, I just brought back home, will try to move her East to the Florida coast so she can get some sun, we did find her in the snow, no place for a gator....

Allie Gator got dropped off in a cache right next to some water this afternoon after our excitement at the drop zone. This spot looks like a great spot for alligators. I hope Allie gets to travel again soon and gets to visit many more caches and cachers.

Blue skies and happy caching!

As I try to do with all travel bugs and geocoins I find, I took Allie Gator on a little adventure with me today. We headed down to Lumberton Mississippi and took a flight in an airplane. Someone opened the door of the airplane at 14,500 feet, so we jumped out just for the fun of it. Allie and I made three skydives today out of the drop zone's Super Twin Otter jump plane. Allie stayed safe (sort-of) in my pocket during the jumps. We hopped out of the plane at 14,500 feet, enjoyed over a minute of freefall before deploying the 'chute around 3,000 feet and then had a 5-minute parachute ride back to a soft landing at the drop zone. Repacked the parachute and went again (and again). The thermometer in the truck read 100 degrees this afternoon. It was way too hot, so I switched to geocaching with the air conditioning in the Explorer blasting.

Now this travel bug has experienced the beauty, thrill, and joy of flight and knows why the birds sing. I'll get it into a nice cache near water on my way home today. Check out the pictures I'll upload with this log.

Blue skies and happy caching!

  • Allie Gator getting ready for skydive number one! Allie is hanging on tight to my skydive rig before the first jump of the day. Allie shared the experience with a few geocoins.
  • Model Citizen and Allie after jump number one. Allie wasn't scared at all and asked if we could do it again.

Well... Okay!!!!
  • The aftermath of the first jump. What a mess! Now it's time to straighten this parachute back out, pack it up and go for another skydive!
  • Allie and the drop zone's Super Otter jump plane. Gold Coast Skydivers. Lumberton, Mississippi. Stop by sometime and check it out.

I picked this gator up from a cache very near an area where there are signs saying that it is prohibited to feed the alligators. I guess that means there's a few gators around. Fortunately I didn't see any today.

I'll take Allie back home to Mississippi with me next week and put it in a cache I know of that's really close to water.

Blue skies and happy caching!
