Current Goal

Well, the mission has changed a bit really! Originally, we wanted to see how many caches it could get round during 2009 but then have it returned back to the Derby (UK) area by 31 December so we could see what people had written in the diary.

However... it kept travelling, which is probably more fun! It would be great to get it back one day when the diary is full, but in the mean time just keep it moving around and let's see where it ends up. Perhaps we'll even manage to retrieve it ourselves one day, who knows.

It would be great to have some photos of you with the cache and hear your stories about where and how you found it.

About This Item

Lynx Network's travelling diary was launched on 17 January 2009 into the world of geocaching, via GC1BJB4 "target practice" near Belper, Derbyshire, UK whilst we a few of us were out on a Queen's Scout Award practice hike.

If you're wondering what Lynx Network is, we are a Scout Network based in Littleover, Derby, UK - a section of the Scout movement for 18-25 year olds. We do all sorts of activities, and one day discovered geocaching - so we thought releasing our very own travel bug would be fun!

    Collected this from a very creepy cache that was originally set for Halloween whilst on a weekend trip away.... Will try to move it at least a little bit Northwards as soon as poss. Thanks for sharing it with us - an interesting idea. 🙂

    Retreived Lynx Network's travelling diary (TB29MJ4) from Harry New Year (GC188FR) I think a cacher made the mistake of logging it the wrong cache - anyway it's safe. Will make a note inside and move it on as soon as possible.
