Current Goal

Longhorn Jack is tired of the local Mexican Cuisine. Longhorn Jack's friend Rooster Lou recommended the Salsa and Margaritas at El Chaparral in Helotes, TX (Just outside of San Antonio). Can you help him get there and try some of the salsa? Check out some other Mexican Restaurants along the way to find the best food around. The Winner will be awarded the "Longhorn Jack Best Mexican Food Award". (Everyone wins...the award isn't really that coveted). Take pictures with Jack at your favorite Mexican Restaurants and move him on his way to El Chaparral!

Barnyard Friends

Longhorn Jack and his barnyard friends have gone off on their own paths. Perhaps they will meet again one day, but not until they have seen the world in their own way. His buddy Rooster Lou is scanning the country for Chicks. Suzy Sheep is looking for greener pastures, and Ms. Penny Pig wants to see the big cities of the world.

Will they meet again? We hope. Where will they go? That's up to you...

Don't hold them too long...they might get restless and walk off on their own.

Going caching tomorrow so will try to get Longhorn Jack a little ways out of Houston. Sure want him to meet up with his friends and try that Salsa!!!

  • Longhorn Jack Visits Freeport Well Longhorn Jack made a visit to a local Freeport Mexican restaurant and the food was very good.
We made a day of Geocaching down there and took him with us. Now he'll head to Houston and hopefully on his way to West Texas.

We missed Jack so we retrieved him again. The truth is, he was really retrieved from this cache by someone and placed at the Getaway Car but he was never logged in. I didn't want Jack to get lost so we rescued him today and will get him back on track soon.

We will make his dreams come true by going to our local restaurant. I also laminated his information card again since it was torn off and just stuck under a tie wrap. I reattached the card before sending him on his way.

My son goes to school at UTSA, which is near Helotes, but he is home for the holidays. Uhhh, I didn't have anything to trade so I left it for the next cacher.
