Remembering Bridget

The mission for this bug is to travel the world and eventually make its way to Australia.

This bug is in memory of our neighbor and friend, Bridget Slotemaker, who died of cancer in August 2008. When Bridget was diagnosed in May, she was 35 years old and 3 1/2 months pregnant. Her baby, Chloe, was born in June and weighed 1 lb. 6 oz. Chloe Faith has now joined her older sister, Grace, at home. She weighs over 8 pounds and is truly Bridget's miracle. Bridget's unwavering faith was an inspiration to all who knew her, so when you find this bug, take a minute to slow down and remember your blessings. Please feel free to attach any personal memory items to this bug and let them travel the world together! Update on baby Chloe. She is 6 months old and weighs over 12 pounds. She is healthy and hitting all the baby milestones--just a little later than usual! Next update on Chloe. She and my granddaughter who was born (full term) 3 days after Chloe have both celebrated their first birthdays. Chloe is only slighty behind (maybe a month) Kate in her development, and I hope that the two of them will become friends and playmates in the coming year. In the meantime, I am keeping all the neighborhood kids updated on Bridget's TB travels!

2/27/13  Note:  The original TB was lost in a muggled cache but I have decided to reissue it.  Chloe and my granddaughter are now almost 5 and to see them together, one would never believe the very different circumstances of their births.  They will both be hitting kindergarten with a storm this coming fall!
