ORIGINAL GOAL: To travel the world and remind the people of ALL nations, to consider the great sacrifices that have been made to bring us whatever freedoms we have.
LATER GOAL: To return home to Coos Bay, Oregon, by October 2010, and be here when his buddy ANDY returns home from Iraq. Andyman still loves to have his picture taken with the people he meets, and the places he visits.
LAST GOAL: To remain in "Wascally Wabbit" cache until I pick him up on October 5, 2010, on the way to Fort Stewart, Georgia (with his wife & son) to meet him.
On October 2, 2008, my son Andy graduated from Army basic training in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Though he was just under 19 years old, and had a wife of one year who was 5 months pregnant, he made a decision to serve his country, and the cause of freedom. This green beanie bear, with a handmade uniform & official Army tag, is dedicated to the physical, mental, and spiritual growth that he has undergone, and to the commitment made by him and many other men and woman to helping this world "be all that it can be." Currently Andy is serving at FOB Marez, near Mosul, in Iraq, and is scheduled to return to the states in October 2010. His wife and 1 1/2 year old son live with us in Coos Bay, Oregon.
