About This Item

Ambia

This travel bug is an ordinary bug with small laminated pictures of Ambia attached. Ambia was a beautiful horse and loyal friend whom was with me from a yearling for 12 years and who was sadly diagnosed with a degenerative bone condition at the age of 5, we had to say goodnight to her in August of 2008 after many years of fighting the disease. So now I would like this bug to travel to Wales where she was born to Blackpool where we spent many years together and then on to travel the world in her memory!

It's made it to Lytham st Anne's....I can easily take it to Blackpool! Went to visit my brother in southport, so its fulfilled it's mission! Lovely pics and great key ring of Blackpool tower.

Sorry it has taken so long to drop this off. When I picked this up with Hannover darkstar, we noticed that it hadnt been to Blackpool yet. I work all over the north West but only spend a day in each location. Southport is an area I cover so it was decided that I would take Ambia up with me. Hopefully someone will pick it up for the final leg upto Blackpool. HD has put a Blackpool keyring on Ambia as well (see attached photo). Hope this helps!

Tom and Wills were out for the afternoon with their dad and Hanoverdarkstar. We found the cache fairly easily and both of the boys swapped and left some treasure. William my youngest picked up a little key ring with pictures of a horse on. we then walked to our next cache and thought no more of it. We met some other geocachers in the area and a young girl said William had a travel bug in his hand, we then looked at the key ring and realised what we had! This was only our second go at geocaching so the boys were very excited. We will try and place Ambia as near as possible to something equine on our next jaunt. Thanks.

Not Blackpool I am afraid but it is close to Uttoxeter Racecourse which I hope fits part of the goal.

Having taken this horse to Cartmel racecourse and a "rodeo" both equine locations/events. I took it to the beach in Wales which was another of its goals. Finally the time has come to drop it off. I selected Race because this cache is in Wales and there is a racecourse where harness racing is held and so it is also an equine related cache.
