They came from the far and near, all converging on a set of caches, brought together by coincidental forces they didn't know. Trippy1976 from Michigan who has now moved to the Chicago area, GeoHo on a business trip, CarleenP in for the weekend, and Markwell and Stunod - the long-time local guys. All of them have spent a TON of time in the forums, and as of that fateful morning, between the five of them they had hidden 122 caches and found 3,859.

To commemorate this confluential meeting, a Travel Bug was launched. This is that bug. The mission: take it far and wide and get it into the world to see caches.

This bug is a little different than other bugs. It's a laminated card with the secret code and logging instructions imprinted on the back, but no "character".

This is why caches need to be placed in areas that are maintainable. "Sometime within the last four years" - really?
