To travel the world - to get across the oceans and back to it’s home - GC1FN24 - Shell of a Cache. To be held in one’s hands and to imagine if you could go back through a Time Machine to the time that this prehistoric fossil was the home to a living creature - a creature we will never see.
Mother of all Pearls TB - This is a Illymatogyra Arietina, a species of oyster. It came from a Del Rio Clay formation in a San Antonio, TX construction site. Our nephew, a geologist, came across a lot of these fossils and gave one to us. We thought it was just super cool, and through Geocaching we do not have to keep it to ourselves, but let others enjoy seeing a part of prehistoric times.
