To visit relations in China before returning to roost.
Once upon a time there was a family called the Ness Ones who kept and reared Rare Breed Bantams called "Nankins". Nankins Bantams came from China originally, and are an orangey colour with black tail feathers, they are easy to keep and lay well. The Ness Nankin family all lived happily in the coop in Ness Ones garden UNTIL Ness Egg Nankin got restless in the nest and decided to go off and seek his long lost relatives, travelling the geocache way. Ness Hen Nankin, a good mother hen, realizing one of her brood was missing, decided to try and find Ness Egg and flew the coop. Ness Cock Nankin now wifeless, childless and lonely, also flew the coop hoping to reunite his family and bring them home to roost.
THEN at New Year 2011 Ness Chicken Nankin got news that Ness Egg Nankin had reached Hong Kong on his travels. His mother Ness Hen Nankin was missing, possibly eaten by a Fox and his father Ness Cock Nankin is hiding in the Manchester area. He decided to fly the coop and set off in search of them all.
Ness Pullet Nankin all alone in the coop and feeling lonely felt it was her duty to attempt to gather her flock together and bring them all safely home to But 'n' Ben One.
