To visit as many of the world's sites as possible. Please take Grandma Bev to any place that you think she would like (she kinda had a thing for botanical gardens, historical boats, and ghost towns) and take a picture of you holding her at that location. The ultimate goal would be for her to reach all of the places specified in the log below, but in the meantime take her anywhere that you think is cool. PLEASE TAKE PICTURES AND POST THEM TO THE LOG!!! We very much appreciate your help in getting Grandma Bev out and about like she always wanted and most certainly deserved.

This is a small wooden box with some of the ashes of my Grandmother inside. I found my first Geocache within one hour of her death. She always wanted to travel, but never had the money to do so. She was a very important person to me growing up and I always wanted to send her on a trip someday. I was still in  law school and working towards a carreer that would finally make enough money to do so, but unfortunately she died before I had the chance. This travel bug idea came to me at her funeral and it will hopefully allow her to visit some of the places that I both knew she wanted to visit and also think she might like. Grandma Bev was fascinated with ancient history, the British royal family, and with prospecting and treasure hunting in general. I think that she will enjoy this journey at least as much as I will enjoy watching her embark on it. PLEASE TAKE PICTURES AND POST THEM IN THE LOG!!!If for any reason you feel squeamish or uncomfortable about it, please drop her off at the next available cache and log the drop so that someone else can pick it up and we can all know where she is. Thank you for your assistance in this project, we are all looking forward to seeing where she goes!

Buckingham Palace: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED BY "TEAM SLATE"

The ultimate goal. Grandma ended up spending a good long time in London, got to visit the palace, and do allsorts of "Londonish" type stuff.  THANK YOU TEAM SLATE!!!

Castle Alcazar in Segovia Spain:

Grandma had a poster of this castle hanging at the ranch in Fremont that I used to visit her at when I was a kid. I remember her telling me that castles actually existed and were not just fairy tales.

The Azores:

This is our ancestral homeland and she always wanted to see it someday.

The Sphinx:

She taught me about the pyramids in Egypt when I was little and I remember being particularly intrigued by the Sphinx... I don't know if it was just me or her emphasis on the subject, but it stuck with me.

I would expect that she would have also wanted to visit a southern plantation and/or civil war historical site as well.
