Current Goal

My wife works everyday with children affected by autism. These children are so alive, so full of beauty, yet often times so misunderstood.

When I asked her what her TB should do, she simply wanted people to be a little more aware of this disorder and the many misunderstandings about it, as well as those affected by it.

Today, 1 in 150 individuals is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined. It occurs in all racial, ethnic, and social groups and is four times more likely to strike boys than girls. Autism impairs a person's ability to communicate and relate to others. It is also associated with rigid routines and repetitive behaviors, such as obsessively arranging objects or following very specific routines. Symptoms can range from very mild to quite severe.

The geo-wife (ok her real name is "Honey Snookums Face") and I were going over to Dr. O' Donnel in Coquille today to get the Geo-Weimaraners their heart worm meds (an ounce of prevention type of thing) and we decided to do the geo-tango-rhumba thing on the way back. And LO-AND-BEHOLD we discovered right-before-our-eyes a lil' ol' travel bug just right for da' pluckin'. Well I is a long haul trucking driving fool so I's getz around da ol' USA alot. Soz I will see whats I can due wit dis ol' trable bug.
Seriously, I have a son that has mild autism, and a co-driver that has a mild case also, so I know what the problems are. I will help to get this TB on its way around the USA so we can do our little part in spreading autism awareness.
I am home for a week and then out on the road again. So at this time, I don't know where it will end up.
