Sorry for having kept Cordelia for such a long time. We wanted to show her the "Prater" in Vienna but couldn't manage to go there sooner.

The Prater is a very big park in Vienna. At its western end you can find the "Wurstel- or Volksprater", an amusementpark. It contains one of Vienna's most famous sights, the "Ferris Wheel" (see picture) which was built in 1896/97. It is the only remain from the world's first theme-park called "Venice in Vienna" which was established in 1895.

We had a nice multi-caching-walk through the prater and a ride on the fastest carousel (120km/h) which goes round-and-round upside-down trying to "tear your inside out"...

The rotating construction weighs 244,85 t, the whole construction 430,05 t. The axis' length is 10,78 m, its diameter meassures 0,5 m and its weight is 16,3 t. The wheels turn with a speed of a maximum of 2,7 km/h - so it takes 255 seconds to turn around once.
