I took your travel bug to Oak Openings Preserve, it has approximately 3800 acres of diverse habitats, from oak savannas and wet lands to sand barrens along with more rare and endangered species than any other area its size in Ohio. The varied habitats are safe haven for deer, fox, raccoon, weasels, mink, skunk and many small animals such as the spotted turtle.
The area also offers various walking, hiking, all purpose, horse, and cross-country trails.
