The mission of this travel bug is to follow in the footsteps of Lewis & Clark and record the carrier’s experiences with photos (as L&C could not) and journal entries (as L&C did). Any other points of interest in Western History (fur trade, Native American, cowboys, etc.) are also welcome, or if you have photos and recollections from the past, please include them. Once this flash drive is full, please contact me. We can make arrangements to get it back home so I can download it and start another journey.
This Lewis & Clark Travel Bug is a 2 gigabyte USB Flash Drive. It is divided into folders for photos and documents. Please use it to document and record your Lewis & Clark or other western experiences with photos and words. If you don’t have anything to add, please get it back traveling again as soon as possible.
Plug in the flash drive and read my longer introduction and see some of the pictures I have taken of Lake Sacagawea. Once you plug it in you will likely see an options box. Click on “Open Folders to View Files” then click on Documents. The flash drive is divided into two folders, Journal and Pictures. Feel free to add what you want where appropriate.
Journal – Please used MS Word or something compatible. If you like to use the written word to describe your Lewis & Clark or western experiences please do so. Also, use this folder to document your photos. Write as much as you want, as I love to read… and write myself. I have added my introduction to this folder.
Pictures – Please use JPG format and do not resize. When the drive is full and I get it returned, I’ll send it back out again. You can add anything you feel appropriate such as, but not limited to, photos of L&C points of interest, other western points of interest, the Missouri, Yellowstone, or Columbia Rivers, or you sitting around a campfire somewhere in the West. See my pictures as an example. Please briefly describe your photos in the Journal folder and include the date. I have added a few photos of Lake Sacagawea.
I trust that you will take good care of the Lewis & Clark Travel Bug, add to it, and get it back on it’s journey with the “Corps of Discovery”.
May Your Lantern Burn Bright,
Paul

I just got this cache to take to Ft Stevenson for the Caching and Camping North Dakota Style event.
This location is in a North Dakota State park near where Lewis and Clark camped both going out and returning.
Good luck in the travels
