About This Item

Nooky Booky was the P51 Mustang that Col Leonard "Kit" Carson flew during WWII in the 357th Fighter Group and was the high scoring ace there with 18.5 kills including 5 FW190s in one day. The P51 was THE awesome plane to be in in its day. It is the fighter that allowed the massive bombing formations to fly their daylight missions over Germany where before, previous fighters didn't have the range to escort the bombers all the way in and back out leaving them naked while over enemy territory. Flown by 25 countries for over 35 years in service including Cuba, the P51 may be the plane that won the war in Europe.

This boy is getting ready to fly to the beach. There are no papers or anything with him. Do you want anything added?

Hi there. We found this last Friday and I'm just now getting this logged. My 7 yo son thinks this is one cool plane and of course thought it was his to keep forever in his new geocaching treasure box. I have explained to him now that it is to travel so I'm working on him to give it up and plant it somewhere.

I think he'll come around, although I'd like to know where you can buy one of these to replace in his stash. Maybe the originator can tell me where to get one? This is his favorite thus far. Either way, we'll get it back into the system asap.

The pieces mentioned in an earlier log are still loose, but we've got them and will put all into a bag so they stay together.

Thanks for the great find and further education into this new sport/hobby.
