If everything goes as planned, we will find something on Santa Catalina Island to attach to this bug. Then we will release it on the Island. It's goal will then be to visit every geocache on the Island, in any order. Once it has done this, it is free to go anywhere in the world.
We didn't get to take our regular end-of-summer trip to Northern California in 2003, so we took a shorter trip a little closer to home. Jim had never been to Catalina, and Sharon hadn't been since she was a girl, so it was an interesting and fun for both of us. We found some beads that were apropos of the Island to attach to the Bug.
Please! Do not remove this Travel Bug from Catalina until it has been placed in every cache thereon. We will update this page with each cache the Bug is left in, so that a full tally will be visible at all times. Once it has reached its goal, we will declare it free to roam the globe. Naturally, if new caches are placed before this T-Bug has left the Island, that will mean it will have to remain on Santa Catalina until it is placed in, and removed from, that cache. But if it leaves the Island legally, it won't have to go back to any placed after its legal release.
