Sorry to tell you, but we didn't see your TB in this cache today. You might want to mark it as missing.

I got Deer to Maryland and checked off Delaware and Maryland on his tag. This cache is in muggle city, at the busy end of the Ocean City boardwalk right in front of a little museum. The physical log had signatures going back for years, so I though this was a nice secure cache, but when I went to log the find, I discovered that there's a large number of missing TBs logged in, so apparently this is a TB deathbed. The cache is found on a daily basis, so I can only hope someone finds it that can help Deer continue along his path before he runs off to play in the ocean. If not, I'm awfully sorry for getting Deer so far only to let him get lost in the wilderness.

Finally I got you a new state: Delaware! Deer felt quite at home visiting this nature park a klick or so inland from the beach at Bethany Beach. We even spooked a real deer as we walked around the paths. Deer was all set to stay here, but the cache was only a little nano.

Visited 8/25/2017 dprovan took it to With Hart California - 3.63 miles  Visit Log

No chance to geocache the last few days, but I was out taking a quick walk during lunch and remembered I needed to replace the log in the cache I own outside my office. Tomorrow we take wing to Delaware, so I should be able to score a new state for you soon!

Visited 8/22/2017 dprovan took it to Snake in a can California - 4.13 miles  Visit Log

Deer and I had a nice walk through and around some neighborhood with fun parks and paths here in Danville, California. Deer was a brave girl while I tracked down this Snake in a Can, although it turned out there wasn't really a snake there. Both a relief and a disappointment.

Hey, what a hoot! In this cache, I found another TB that wants to visit all 50 states! Quite a coincidence! So now Deer has a traveling companion until I find a suitable cache back in Delaware next week to drop her off.

Visited 8/21/2017 dprovan took it to What a Hoot Series #40 - "Egg Drop" California - 59.04 miles  Visit Log

Deer and I visited a cache in an excellent series around here called the Hoot Series. This is a series of 40 (so far) innovative caches involving owls. To get there, we walked a mile each way along a suburban bike path that replaced a rail line through San Ramon, CA.

Visited 8/19/2017 dprovan took it to Find the code #1 California - 66.12 miles  Visit Log

Deer came with us to Davis, California, to have lunch and take a walk with my son and his girlfriend. Davis has a lot of great paths all over town, so it's hard to go wrong, but this one up on the north end of town was particularly nice, and it had this cool cache that was a cryptex with the code hidden nearby.
