This '56 Ford Thunderbird is out to beat the '57 Chevy Corvette in a race to log the most miles until the finish at midnight on Labor Day, September 4, 2006. On the next day, the race objective changes to being the first to return home to any Team Bucky & McGee cache in Casa Grande, AZ. You can track the Corvette's progress on it's bug page at TBM2GX. Photos are always welcome!


UPDATE 6/16/06 - I am sorry to report that the Corvette has met a tragic end in California, having been part of the booty from a STOLEN CACHE! Thunderbird WINS by default. So, keep on rollin', mighty T-Bird and see the rest of the country before you come back to Bucky & McGee in Casa Grande, AZ!

Update 10/4/06 - As mentioned above, the Corvette "crashed" in CA on 3/3/06 with 2270 miles logged. At the official race end on Labor Day, the Thunderbird logged 5478 miles and is declared the WINNER! Now see how fast it can get back to a Bucky & McGee cache in Casa Grande, AZ.

2006 - now 2013. Guess T-bird has a mind of it's own. A trek up the east coast will bring it home faster. I'm thinking Texas via Boston is in its future - maybe within the next few weeks. Let me see what I can arrange.
