Canola Carl calls Dawson Creek, B.C., Canada home. Dawson Creek is known for its beautiful fields of Canola (as well as being Mile '0' of the Alaska Highway). Carl has taken some time off from his busy farm life to travel the world and of course crops and the agriculture industry are his favourite things to see.

Picked up Carl and snapped some pics of the area with him (will upload later). We plan on taking him to the East coast (likely Maryland). Thx, we'll take care of him!

  • By the Lagoon Picked up Carl just before our road trip up to San Francisco. Figured there'd be lots of crops we could have Carl check out. :-)
  • California Cherry Trees On I-5 up to San Francisco near Bakersfield... Snapped a pick with the little one driving by a huge Cherry farm.
  • California Oranges! Another orchard on our long drive up to San Francisco from Carlsbad, CA.
  • Hmmm... Another row of crops across the road from the orange orchard. Not sure what they were though! :-)
  • a Vineyard On our way back from San Francisco we drove down California Coast Highway 1 and 101. Passed by a vineyard which Carl demanded to see. :-)

Snapped a shot of Carl hanging around by Carlsbad Flower Fields. Unfortunately, Carl was visiting in the off season. I included a photo of the Flower Fields in full bloom.

  • Carl in a field of something! We really wanted to get him with the strawberries. After making a special trip we found the fields freshly plowed! Not sure what this was but it was past time for him to move on.
