Current Goal

Gretchen's mission is to travel from cache to cache as quickly as possible, but she doesn't need to travel in any certain pattern. She'd like to play in the snow and meet other dogs and cows. Please post pictures! Chasing squirrels is a bonus!

About This Item

Gretchen was a black Lab/Shepherd mix that my husband called his "Polish Shepherd." She was his companion for nearly 13 years and was part of my life for over 6.

She left us in 2003 and never got to experience geocaching so this travel bug was created so she'd have the opportunity. She would have liked it because it meant a romp in the park or a run in the woods. . .but for her, it would have been all about hunt, not about the find.

"Look Mom, over here . . .oh WOW! Look Dad, a TREE!. . .and over here, a SQUIRREL!!!"

She looked just like a black angus calf when she was a pup, and Gretchen even was foolish enough to chase a bull once. She was sometimes crazy, sometimes goofy, and frequently devious when it came to escaping from the backyard or stealing food from your plate!

"Gretchen, wanna go for a RIDE?? Wanna go BYE-BYE??"
Yeah, yeah, let's go!

    Gretchen is on holiday in Hungary now. The current location is a nice park with lots of squirrels. I must admit that the cache is not visited frequently and therefore not the ideal place for a travel bug. But i can pick her up and bring her back to Germany if she doesn't move for a few months.
