We spotted this coin in "Corwin", not in "Canyon Creek Cache".
We saw a note tucked into the sleeve of the coin-flip saying that no one should pick up this coin unless they left another one in its place. Since we didn't have another, we honored what we thought were the coin owner's wishes and left it behind rather than take it on a trip from Texas to Massachusetts. But then we saw another coin in the same cache with the same note, in the same handwriting - this one was written on top of the real printed goal (which was to travel freely from cache to cache, not to be held hostage for other coins). So now we're pretty sure that it wasn't written by the coin owner after all, but instead by someone who is changing the coins' goals to suit their own agenda. We still didn't take this one, though, since we were going to MA and we thought the coin might be headed to Sacramento.
