Red Panther is in a multi-stage puzzle cache people will have to work hard to find. He should enjoy the area while he visits.
I attended afternoon kindergarten in Holland, Michigan during the fall semester. On the first day of the second semester my mom sent me off in the morning. When she went to kindergarten 22 years before they changed the time they attended each semester. Well, they did NOT do that anymore when I was in school. Everyone wondered why I was there so early. After visiting the office, I was sent home. The safety crossing guard got mad at me because I was going the wrong way. I ran past him, and was crying by time I reached home. I had to go back in the afternoon and was glad that everything turned out fine.
My first grade teacher was a friend of my parents. They square danced together alot. Sometime they got together with 16-20 friends and danced in our basement. My brothers and I would sleep soundly in our beds while they danced the night away 1 floor below. One evening while they were dancing, I changed into my pajamas and threw my dirty clothes down the clothes chute as I did most every evening. One dancer ended up with my underwear landing on his head. Everyone thought it was very funny....except me. I was very happy that my teacher never shared that incident with our class.
In second grade we had a boy in our class who had one blue eye and one brown eye. Everyone thought that was very cool. We learned to write cursive letters at the end of the year. Dennis drew extra parts on his letters and turned them into very funny carton animals. Try making a duck out of a cursive capital S. It only takes a triangular beak, a dot for an eye, and a couple stick legs.
Our third grade class was in a very old part of the school. We had an old fashioned bubbler drinking fountain right in our room. Sometimes when you turned it on it shot a stream of water 6 feet into the air! We had lots of wet kids in our class. At the end of the year that entire wing of the school was torn down and replaced with a new addition.
