My non-caching Beloved is the source of the beer selection in this house, and when I showed off the Travel Bug he went to his private stock and pulled out these additional interesting beers for the gallery.

  • Collected on a recent trip abroad. Maccabee Beer is a 4-time award winning beer from Israel, and Petra Beer is brewed by Arab Breweries Co. in Jordan.
  • Discovered on the Oregon Coast Highway 101 There's a specialty store in Florence that brings in beer from all over. I suspect he bought the French beer just for the label. The Morimoto Soba Ale is another of the Rogue selections brewed at Newport, Oregon.
  • Brewed in the eastern Oregon mountains From the small town of Wallowa in NE Oregon, Terminal Gravity brands are starting to be seen "out west".

Here in the Pacific Northwest one of our famous local breweries is called ROGUE ALES. They make a dozen or so regular offerings and many seasonals. I've added pix of some of the ones I'm aware of, and then added a pix of a pair of good pils.

  • Three from the Rogue Brewery Monk Madness Ale, Santa's Private Reserve, and Dry Hopped St. Rogue Red Ale
  • From the Rogue Brewery Shakespeare Stout created in honor of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, and Mocha Porter.
  • Arrogant Bastard Ale Crafted by the Stone Brewing Company of Escondido, CA, this ale can be found all over the northwest in spite of the note on its cap which reads "Hated by many, loved by few".
  • Two favorite pils Not sure whether you can find Wolf Pils outside Germany, but the Pilsner Urquell is seen regularly in the US.

Discovered this one in Parson's Travel Bug and Geocoin Rest Stop. I thought it was a key at the time, but now that I've seen the page, I stand corrected. Not going anywhere right now, so I let it be.
