We found this while taking my sister out for her first geocaching experience today. We are traveling back to Wisconsin and will place it soon.

Today I left this geocoin in a cache located on Treasure Island, the most appropriate island for a pirate relic!

I had been trying to find an Island to put this on for MONTHS! The only large cache on Treasure Island was inaccessible for a month due to filming of the TV show Trauma. I left to Vietnam before it was open again, and while I was in Vietnam the only place I found a geocache on an island ended up being inaccessible due to construction. When I finally returned to America, Treasure Island was once again accessible. On my second day back in America, Thanksgiving, I was finally able to deliver this TB to its appropriate cache on Treasure Island. :) Sorry for keeping it so long, but we had fun traveling the world!

Oops, I see that someone has grabbed this one since we did not get around to logging the drop in a timely manner. (I misplaced my notes on where we left what for a while...). Glad to see it is moving on anyhow. It is a really neat coin!

We retrieved this great pirates booty geo coin from a cache on Cozumel Island in Mexico & brought it home expecting to drop it in a cache on nearby Grand Island. Imagine how amazed we were to learn that it had originally been released just 45 miles away in the Toronto Islands to a cache that we have visited! Wow! Talk about a small world!

So now, we will try to take it farther afield, maybe to Long Island, NY or to Pittsburgh, PA where pirates abound!

Our plans to get to Cozumel were thwarted by heavy rains... we did however, buy Mayan Insurance (umbrella) at Tulum... which mean a sunburn instead of soakers on our last afternoon in Mexico. The tourist season is almost upon them... and we look forward to seeing what islands you reach now that you are here!
