This geocoin shall travel from Dresden (Germany) to interesting places all over the world. Please take some photos of its trip. Please DO NOT put this coin in risky caches.
This geocoin is dedicated to our grandpa Walther, who manufactured Christmas Arches and many other beautifull little things of wood from his own hands.
The Original German Christmas Arch (german: Erzgebirgischer Schwibbogen) was invented in Johanngeorgenstadt (Erzgebirge, Saxony) in 1740. Former christmas arches were manufactured of metal. After World War II Christmas Arches were made of wood. Traditional christmas arches show the workaday life of miners and their families like one can see at one side of the geocoin.
