Current Goal

To visit as many baseball parks and have my picture taken if possible. It can be any baseball park. These nesting dolls were issued to those in attendance at Miller Park (home of the Milwaukee Brewers) on 08/28/05 in honor of "Mr. Baseball" - Bob Uecker. Mr. Baseball as he is known, was first tagged with this nickname by the late Johnny Carson. So in honor of Bob Uecker's 50 years in baseball, these nesting dolls would like to see as many baseball parks as possible.

Looks like I made a mistake. You were actually dropped off, not visiting.

The Continental Divide-New Mexico at I-40: I have been to the Continental Divide in Wyoming and Colorado before visiting here. We stopped at GZ and also visited some other nearby locations. We loved the view from across the freeway on the Westbound side quite a bit. Answers sent.

Wings Across the West: Boy, the access road to get here is terrible. I’m glad we have a rental car for this trip. It was pretty quiet at the airport and I enjoyed the display. I also was glad to see an ammo can because I have a couple of larger travel bugs. Dropped you. After you were lost for years and then found, I was honored to take you on my geocaching journeys. Now I leave you at this airport in hopes you go on many more adventures. Safe travels

Visited 7/8/2018 Pengwinldy took it to Piedra Negra (Black Rock) New Mexico - 76.14 miles  Visit Log

Piedra Negra (Black rock): Decided to stop and stretch our legs (on a 14-state road trip from WI to CA) to explore the nearby petroglyphs. They are very cool and I recommend folks take to time to explore the area. After we hiked up and down the mountain in 94 degrees, we stopped here for just a bit more rock scrambling and the cache. Lost my pen along the way somewhere so couldn’t sign the log. Time to get back on the road.

Route 66 Eastbound Snail Mail: made a special stop for this letterbox during our 14-state, 2-country geo roadtrip. Used my penguin stamp to sign the long. Two cows came over to see what I was doing. Dropped Rocky the Steampunk Penguin travel bug proxy. He’d like to visit high scenic spots.

Route 66 Eastbound Maildrop: Quick little letterbox off Rt 66 in New Mexico. I love the color of the ground here. It’s also softer than I expected. Found the cache pretty quick and signed with my Penguin stamp. Heading to Holbrook, Az tonight then back to San Diego. This adventure started on Thursday in Superior, Wi. Almost home. Looks like I’m following Texas Libra. I signed a logbook in Amarillo, TX after them.

Visited 7/8/2018 Pengwinldy took it to MEET YA HALFWAY Texas - 39.12 miles  Visit Log

Meet Ya Halfway: Of course while we were here grabbing pictures and the virtual, we wanted to grab the traditional as well. Went to GZ but was stumped. Looked at the hint and found nothing resembling it. Looked in the nearby garden for something that might be associated with the hint. Nothing. I then gave up and decided to do some shopping. Met Lilyana (I think that was her name) and she was super sweet. I asked her about the cache and she said it used to be in a well but that it broke and was gone now. She called the CO and we went out to the garden to look again. I ignored the hint and this time I found it! Nothing but a bunch of logs in it so added my signature penguin. Ms Lilyana told me that the previous store owner was the inspiration for Flo in Disney Pixar’s movie “Cars”. This was such a nice visit. TFTC!
