Retrieve It from a Cache 2/22/2007 Puszkany retrieved it from Graveyard on the Fiumei road Budapest, Hungary   Visit Log

We have found "Froggy 5 Job"! It is our first travel bug and we were very glad to find him. Now we are traveling by us to the end of next week to somewhere... It was a good cache, thank you!

Write note 2/20/2007 Bloodwoosj posted a note for it   Visit Log

As promised earlier this week here are some pictures of Froggy Job's journey this week.
We just returned form a week's holiday to beautiful Budapest, hence this "late" posting.

    • Frankfurt.jpg Froggy Job on Saturday February 17th, 2007 at Frankfurt railway station.
    • Hosok_tere.jpg Froggy Job on Monday February 19th 2007 at Hösök tere (Heroes Square) in Budapest.
    • GellertHill.jpg Woooooooooooooow, what a splendid view for Froggy Job today (Tuesday February 20th 2007), here on Gellért Hegy (Gellért Hill) Budapest.
Front bridge is Erzsébet hid (Elisabeth bridge) crossing the Danube river. In the back also the parliament and Szent István Bazilika (St. Stephan's Basilica) can be seen.
    • Didnt_fit_in_GellertHill.jpg Several minutes after enjoying the view on Gellért Hill it was time for Froggy Job to disappear in the cache, but unfortunately Job was a little bit too long, so the lid couldn't be put back on the cache.
After logging the cache, we had to get him out again, hoping Job would fit into the Fiumei Graveyard cache, since that was the only cache in Budapest city that probably would be large enough for Job. All the others we were able to trace apparently are film canisters.
    • Kerepesi1.jpg February 22nd 2007, beautiful statues on Kerepesi Temetö at Fiumei Road / Budapest. This graveyard is definitely worthwile an hour's walk (at least!)
    • Kerepesi2.jpg One of the panthers guarding the mausoleum of Lajos Kossuth, leader of the 1848-49 revolt.
    • Kerepesi3.jpg Some weeping woman's statue on one of the graves at Kerepesi Temetö.
    • Kerepesi4.jpg Mourning angels at the grave of Blaha Lujza, a famous Hungarian actress (1850-1926).
    • Kerepesi_cacheview.jpg And this is where this week's travel for Froggy 5 Job ends, some corner, almost 1 km from the Graveyards entrance at Fiumei Road.
    • Kerepesi_fits.jpg And yes yes yes, Froggy Job is very lucky (and so are we!) to fit into the cache.
According to the cache description the box should be 1.5 cm short, but either Job has shrunk, or the box has grown, but it fits !!!!
With a small note for the next finder, cause we're not sure to find enough time during our stay in Budapest to log this drop in some internet café, we leave Froggy 5 Job in the cache at this beautiful graveyard.

Hope he will see more interesting places all over the world. Bye by
Retrieve It from a Cache 2/5/2007 Bloodwoosj retrieved it from TRAVEL BUG AIRPORT (edition 7.0) Limburg, Netherlands   Visit Log

Found this Froggy (nr. 5 called Job) in TRAVEL BUG AIRPORT near Maastricht-Aachen airport (MST) in the Netherlands.
While I was logging the cachebook it jumped out of the cache and ran straight to my car.
Why? Because there was a second frog inside (Signal a Frog) that already travelled the world and needed some friend to stand by for the last part of its journey towards Aachen (Germany).
I'll try to bring Signal a Frog to Aachen and in two weeks from now Froggy Job will make an attempt to visit a cache at a large cemetery somewhere in a European capital city.
On the picture Froggy 5 Job (left) and Signal a Frog (right).

Please notice the special chemistry between the two frogs, causing the compass on my GPS to point upward 😉

    Greetz, Bloodwoosj.

Retrieve It from a Cache 10/1/2006 Erbie retrieved it from Paris Ring #7: Sevran Île-de-France, France   Visit Log

Found this fella in the Paris, France area, returning from a visit to Disneyland Paris.

It's got a Dutch origin, but hasn't travelled in the Netherlands yet! That needs to change! 😎
