My mission is to travel to Afghanistan & support our troops and someday come back home to the USA. This Geocoin is in honor of those that serve and sacrifice so that liberty & freedom might prevail.
Please take pictures of me along the way and log the details of my journey online at geocaching.com.
“He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from opposition; for if he violates this duty he establishes a precedent that will reach himself.” ~Thomas Paine

Just want to let you know I haven't forgotten about this coin's mission. The trip a friend was to take to Afghanistan was on and off and on and doesn't seem to be going any time soon. I may just put it out if I can find a good cache for it. Heading to Napa for some caching this morning, maybe I'll spot a safe cache there. Sorry it's taking so long to get it out there!

Pulled this today and when I read the log, I saw I might be able to help it get close to it's primary target. I'll send an email and investigate. If not, I will find a safe place for it. Thanks for sharing it!

I found this wayward soldier in a cache on Mount Tamalpais in Marin County, California. I'll find a new home for him shortly.

Grabbed this on a nice GC day with itsb9. Not much military presence in the Bay Area, so no troops nearby. I will try to drop him in So Cal soon, maybe near Camp Pendleton.
