As this travel bug is itself part of the history it wants to travel around the world searching for other historical relics and visiting places that are of cultural history. Since the TB ended up in Los Angeles it might as well see some sights and after that return to Europe and back home to Finland.
El copihue rojo is a song in Spanish but also the national flower of Chile, in Latin "Lapageria rosea". The travel bug itself looks out quite strange, doesn't it? Well, it used to be a center of a record at the collection of YLE, Finnish Broadcasting Company. The old records were thrown away once when the new technologies arrived and this piece ended up being a bottle opener. We are pretty sure it is more than satisfied with its third life as a travel bug! And by the way, the size of this bug is around 10cm x 10cm x 1cm, so it does not fit in a micro cache.
Wherever you place this bug, it would be nice if you could take a photo of it at the place and then save the photo here.
El copihue rojo on
espanjankielinen laulu mutta myös
Chilen kansalliskukka, latinaksi "Lapageria rosea".

I was hoping to find this TB in "Sunset over the Missouri" cache on March 10, but it wasn't there. This TB just missed out on a trip to Australia. 😟 Hopefully whoever grabbed it from the cache will log it soon. --F4 (Father)

Well I don't know how it got here but I just picked it up at Humbys Cache #3 - Greenbelt #1 in Los Angeles California USA -- Waypoint GC2F88 this morning. I am not planning a trip to Finland anytime soon so I thought I would take it to St. Louis Missouri USA with me and drop it off there. Hope that someday it makes it's way back home. Sorry I do not have a camera to get a pic for you.

Well, it was a hard work to find this traveller El Copihue Rojo. Not an easy task. After we found him, he made it clear that he wants to see some new places and I proposed to have some fun in Rotterdam-he agreed, however made it also clear that he wants to come fast back to Finland and see some cultural and historical places before retirement to sunny south. I promised to bring him back within a week. Photos of this trip will follow in a week.
