This Travel Bug is one of three (Fibonacci I, II, and III) meant to reach Pisa, Italy, the home of Leonardo Pisano Fibonacci.

About This Item

Fibonacci was a mathematician who discovered a number series that was eventually named after him. There is a statue of Fibonacci at the Leaning Tower of Pisa end of the cemetery next to the cathedral in Pisa.

    We stopped in Manarola for some lunch and I went up to grab the cache and then later my breath. There wasn't an actual cache container but a large bag in the wall. All was well but someone might want to bring a container next time...not too big though. Nice hide. Great view!

    Had a hard time searching for this one but then a friend spotted it. Thank goodness because we had made quite a trek for this one.

    Found this one while visiting friends in La Spezia. We were blessed with a break in the cloudy weather. This day was sunny and warm. It was a gorgeous walk from Riomaggiore to Manarola. Nice hide.

    Found this one on a day trip to Pisa while staying in La Spezia with friends. Enjoyed the walk through the city and seeing places I had never seen before.
