Large 2008 coin with heft. 1.6 incjes 3.5 mm thick antique gold. Unusual shape. The front has a medallion showing a cacher cooking over a fire. The rim is in the image of a sausage. It has German script that translates to "the main thing is to eat well, we cashed in quickly". The reverse continues the "sausage" theme in the rim. The medallion has nice brushed metal texture and script that reads "Gugg emool do: GC157TR" (which is a puzzle cache in Germany). The artwork is cartoon like but fits the theme. Very unusual design concept. Euro coin. A large just for fun coin.
Info on the coin: Geocoin was minted in a total mintage of 900 Geocoins in the 4 editions RE Antique Silver, RE Antique Gold, LE 75 Polished Silver and XLE50 Black Nickel.
The front shows a traditional swivel grill over an open beech wood fire. In Saarland and beyond, sausages and, of course, the delicious "Schwenkbraten", a pork neck steak in onion marinade, are prepared on such a "Schwenker".
The man who operates the grill wears a typically shaped, flat cap, the "Batschkapp". This scene is framed by a Lyoner sausage, a regional delicacy that is always sold in ring form and often eaten raw, with a beer in the other hand (which is unfortunately missing here). All around the hard-enamel colored sausage can be read: "Hauptsach gudd gess, gekäschd hann mir schnell!"
In the center of the back is written: "Gugg emoll do: GC157TR". In fact, on November 1, 2008, a mystery "Saarland Coin 2008 - The Hero Box" was activated by die_schnuffels under this GC code. In order to find the cache, however, four questions must first be answered. The prerequisite for this is an original Saarland Coin 2008, because IT is the key to this very special Saarland Mystery Hero Cache Box!
So many of my trackables have been muggled that I only release them as virtuals. If you do not approve, please leave it in the cache for a cacher who understands. Thanks. AR

Thanks to the 2023 Christmas Day blizzard my daughter, JMVonFange, was delayed in heading home so we spent the bonus time together comparing our caching statistics including trackables discovered and looking through our geocaching pictures. JM has discovered significantly more trackables that I have mainly because while we were staying home during the pandemic she spent time online and spotted numerous TBs that were being shared virtually. After looking at the TB page for each TB that she discovered that I didn't, I found that a number of TB Codes necessary to discover the trackable were included on the TB Page itself or intentionally or as a spoiler in the photo gallery. Sometimes there was an attempt to obsure or hide the TB Code that was not entirely successful making it fairly easy to determine the TB Code needed to discover the travel bug.
