Mary Beecher

Hi! My name is Mary Beecher. I was blown off course by a big storm while I was going south and now I can’t find my way back. Maybe you can help. I was made by a nice man in a house numbered 411 at around coordinates N46 28.820’ W90 02.730’and I want to get back to see him. Please pick me up and move me on to my goal. (If you plan to be in the area to drop this bug off at the indicated coordinates, email me and I’ll call ahead so my Dad will expect you.)

Mary Beecher has finally made it home! It's been 14 years in the wild and traveled over 72,000 miles. Years ago I was visiting my Dad and we were talking about Geocaching. He thought it was interesting and went on a find with me. He had recently taken up carving as a hobby and I mentioned in passing he could caver me something to act as a Travel Bug. A few weeks later three carved Cardinals arrived in the mail. I painted one, attached the tag and off it went.

Over the years he would periodically ask about the TB, so I would log on (after I found my password, since I'd stopped caching years ago) and print out the logs and mail them to him. He really enjoyed reading the posts. He recently passed away so Mary's return is special! Thanks to jorie7484 for getting her back!

Hi everyone,
This is a message from Mary's last finders..
Some people passed you on without a second look or even getting to know you, some people took you on long journeys across the world, some people might of thought you were just another TB without knowing how special u really are, but we took the time to get to know your story and dug a lil' deeper and decided after all these years you will meet your goal, this is how your journey ends...
Mary has been traveling for 14 years she is an early birdie! I read that travel bugs started in 2001 as a duck series and Mary's been out there since 2004...Amazing! She hold's so much sentimental value and she is a very special TB. Sadly her maker has recently passed on to another life, but her family would like her back home. Her travels have come to an end! She will be leaving us tomorrow, she is so close to home, just needed a lil' help from a caring friend. We will be sad to see her leave but so excited and happy for her reunion...imagine after 14 yrs of not seeing your family! Yaaay for you Mary! You have such a story to tell and what great adventures you hold...we wish u all the luck in your new chapter. You will always be a special memory for us as our first TB..it was such a pleasure to find and get to know all about you!

Today we found our first trackable and seems to be quite special...Miss Mary B. I would love to get you back to your maker...you have been traveling for years and all over the world.....Amazing!! What a pleasure to find you as our first TB! But..where is Mary's maker?!?!
Mary was found under a quiet lil' bush in Surfside Beach, SC just south of Myrtle Beach by a group of four ladies out caching... We will keep her safe and would like to send her on her way home by mail ...I have sent an email and message to Mary's Maker, pls respond so that we can reunite you and Mary. She looks pretty tired from her travels...I bet she would love to go home!
