I picked this coin up in California a week ago, and am now dropping it in Cooperstown, NY. So the coin is doing some traveling. This coin would like to get to Japan, I thought I had a connection, but that didn't work out, so I am placing it in here, at a museum that is visited by people of many cultures. Hopefully it will find its way to Japan.

I retrieved this very pretty coin in Montebello Preserve. It was my first visit to the area, which is a treasure. My daughter lives here in California now, we are visiting from New York. My daughter has a friend who is probably traveling to Japan soon, so if we can convince him to try geocaching we may have a route to Japan. If not, the coin will travel some great miles to Upstate New York. Thanks for sharing your striking coin.

Although I wanted to bring this coin to a cache close to the Hakone Garden (for example "Trolls of Tollgate" GC1ERCC), I did not have the chance to travel in that direction in the last 4 weeks, so I thought that I will drop this coin if not in a Japanese-themed cache at least in a place that is frequented by Japanese mountain bikers. :)

I think this coin would really enjoy the Hakone Gardens, but from here it has also good chances to be picked up by somebody traveling to Japan.

Retrieved this nice coin from "Made in Japan" because I had an idea for another place that this coin would like to visit. Unfortunately, there is no cache hidden within the perimeters of the place that I thought of, but there is one cache nearby. Since I do not visit very often that area I may keep this coin for a couple of weeks or drop it in another cache that is appropriate. I also know an area that is frequented by many Japanese, maybe somebody will bring the coin to Japan :)
