My goal is to travel the world near and far, picking up various hitchhikers/traveling companions along the way.

About This Item

Chameleon

According to the TB FAQ the metal TB tag is a hitchhiker, hitching a ride with geocachers from one cache to the next. The cute little stuffed animals, plastic toys, or other trinkets attached to the TB tag are also hitchhikers hitching a ride with the TB. I'm going to attach a rubber chameleon, and place the TB into a cache. If the person that retrieves the TB from the cache likes the item attached they can either trade it for another item, or keep it and place the TB in another cache without a hitchhiker. Hopefully somewhere along the way someone else will attach a new hitchhiker as the TB travels along. If at all possible, when trading hitchhikers please take a picture of the new hitchhiker and post it with your log entry for this TB. It should be interesting to see what kind of traveling friends this TB picks up along the way. L8r, Sajem

Picked up Chameleon in Princeton, IA and took him to Des Moines. Added a Kentucky Dep't of Education key chain fob to the chain and left him near Saylorville Lake.

I grabbed Chameleon from Mad Creek cache just after a big raccoon gobbled up the lizard. Well, I'll see if I can clone another one. Pictures will be taken when Chameleon gets spiffied up.

  • I'z hungry! A while back some surfer dude did Chameleon TB in and took over as Big Kahuna TB. Well, its tit for tat and just today another Chameleon showed up. He claims to be the older (and bigger) brother of the passed Chameleon. Chameleon II wanted to even the score...and did. The picture tells most of the story. Goodbye Surfer Dude. May you rest in peace!

I received this travel bug from my fellow Geocacher while on Army duty in Huntington West Virginia .Plan to take him back to Ohio with me and continue his travel adventure.Dont,have a photo ,but TB is now labeled Surf Hound Hitchiker with small surfboard,elephant,Alcatraz tag and TB ID tag,I added Camp Kootaga tag willdrop him at a cache Dow Lake ,Athens Ohio.
