Colorado Geocoin

Purchased at my first event, using now as a dipping coin. Glad I started it early, otherwise it would have been even more of a chore back-logging the drops. The coin proper is also my personal luck item for Texas Hold 'Em =)

Figuring I had time for one more tonight, I set off down the street a little ways to another cache, 'Eye Spy'. This one was a piece of cake. From going on a few runs with my dad (Majesty4), I had a pretty good idea where it would be hiding. Sure enough, second place I looked, there it was.

My first cache! At about 2am, I parked about .66 miles from the first cache, 'Stapleton Rocks!'. This is a mistake I hope never to repeat again! .66 miles is a LOT farther away on foot than it seems. And I'm wearing combat boots and thin socks! Ouch... I trek all the way to the spot and look. And look. And look. I can't see a gorram thing! Logically, I know the approximate location, I just couldn't find it. After some searching I returned to the car, heels screaming in blistered pain. I drive much closer to the spot and park it. After looking for two minutes, I plop down. I let my head fall and close my eyes to relax a little, because not finding something is stressful! When my eyes re-open, what do ya know, there it is!
