Current Goal

PLEASE KEEP THIS GEOCOIN MOVING!!  It doesn't much care where it goes, as long as it gets there, although if it happens to make it to Bremen, that would be kind of cool cool  We own this, but have sent it out into the world so that others can enjoy it, collect its icon and then pass it on to another cache.  If you can post a photo of it on its travels, that would be great laugh  Discoveries are always welcome. Thanks to all who help our geocoins and TBs!

About This Item

The coin

A geocoin honoring the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. The obverse (front) has an image of the Town Musicians of Bremen, the subject of a well-known folk-story collected by the Brothers Grimm. On the rim are four phrases: Seek and Find; Outside and Inside; Venture and Gain; Without and Within (sort of). Unfortunately, the die dropped the 'd' from two of the 'und's, and the entire phrase "buten und binnen" is questionable as to precise meaning. The reverse shows the outline of the city, with the river Weser flowing through it, and the flag of the city to the left. The Hanseatic League was an association of trading and port cities along the North Sea coast. They and their guilds dominated the economy, and the political and legal structures, of northern Europe for several centuries.

Finally getting around to retrieving this. We never leave our AWOL travelers in Limbo, at least not intentionally.

The owner of the cache in which this was last seen posted a couple of very interesting Notes to this geocoin. Basically, it would appear that wiki160 has Discovered several geocoins, but has also taken them from the cache and kept them πŸ‘Ž

So, we are retrieving this for burial in an archived cache of ours, and hope that it turns up, some day. And here's our obligatory "rant" for situations like this...

WE HOPE THAT SOMEONE IS JUST BEING VERY SLOW TO LOG THIS, OR THAT THEY FORGOT ABOUT IT, OR MAYBE DIDN'T REALIZE WHAT IT REALLY WAS; IF THIS IS THE CASE, PLEASE RETRIEVE IT, AND THEN DROP IT INTO ANOTHER CACHE AT YOUR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE. THANK YOU!

HOWEVER...

IF YOU TOOK THIS GEOCOIN WITH NO INTENTION OF MOVING IT ALONG, YOU ARE A THIEF!! WE OWN THIS GEOCOIN; WE SENT IT OUT INTO THE WORLD FOR OTHER PEOPLE TO ENJOY AND TO MOVE ALONG. YOU CANNOT SELL IT OR ADOPT IT; YOU CAN'T EVEN SHOW IT TO OTHERS WITHOUT RISKING THEM FINDING OUT THAT YOU ARE A PETTY CRIMINAL. WE HOPE THAT YOU GET A CONSCIENCE AND DROP THIS INTO A CACHE SOON.

IF YOU SEE THIS GEOCOIN IN THE COLLECTION OF A CACHER OTHER THAN US, BE AWARE THAT IT IS STOLEN PROPERTY.

Hmmm...
There were three trackables that seemed to have gone missing from my cache, "Dead Man Chirping" (GC367E7).
I noticed that the last "discoverer" has been the same person on all of them.
On one of the tackable's web pages (THIS one) there is a picture posted of the "discoverer" WITH the trackable - with the INSIDE of a car in the background! Since it is practically impossible for a car to get to where the cache was hidden, the "discoverer" must have removed them from the cache and taken them back to their car!
I think we have found who the "culprit" is πŸ˜‰!
They ARE "newbies", and it looks as though they haven't been caching for quite some time πŸ‘Ž.
I'll leave it with the trackable owners to decide what they want to do.

This trackable is listed as being in my cache, "Dead Man Chirping" (GC367E7).
I managed to recover the cache today after news that GZ had been demolished, and I am sad to report that your trackable was NOT found among the contents of the cache 😟.
Being that the lid was still fairly snug on the container, my guess is that someone snatched this trackable without logging it and/or stole it πŸ‘Ž.
Again, I apologize for the loss of your traveler. 😟
