Current Goal

Amber is ready for the Dog Days of Summer!

So she decided to send out a coin to scout around and see whats out there for her to put
on her 'to visit' list.

She wants her coin to visit wherever people's voyage takes them, but it will be a bonus to
her if the cache has a doggy theme to it and she will even send out the odd prize for
those who succeed in this.

Retrieve It from a Cache 12/10/2008 MooseBob retrieved it from Wild View Queensland, Australia   Visit Log

Stolen from the parking lot at Wild View cache.

Dropped Off 12/10/2008 MooseBob placed it in Wild View Queensland, Australia - 2,299.67 miles  Visit Log

While not physically present at this cache, the parking lot 200 metres away was the last known location of this coin before it was stolen. I will make a virtual drop/pickup in order to at least give the coin credit for getting here.

  • Glasshouse Mountains, Queensland. Dog Days visits the Glasshouse Mountains in Queensland, Australia. These mountains were named by Captain Cook on his travels through the area.
Retrieve It from a Cache 11/27/2008 MooseBob retrieved it from Conto's Lookout Western Australia, Australia   Visit Log

Once more...for the last leg of "around the block".

Dropped Off 11/27/2008 MooseBob placed it in Conto's Lookout Western Australia, Australia - 144.8 miles  Visit Log

Back on the west coast...in the Cape Naturaliste/Cape Leeuwin area. The third leg of "around the block".

  • Canal Rocks, Cape Naturaliste, Western Australia. A day spent wandering along the coast. Wonderful!
  • Conto's Lookout, Margaret River, Australia. The view from Conto's Lookout cache...unfortunately without the coin since there was only 1 minute of battery life left in the camera!
Retrieve It from a Cache 11/21/2008 MooseBob retrieved it from Twilight Western Australia, Australia   Visit Log

Things are not dog-friendly here....poison 1080....so Dog Days must go on.

Heading south to visit the coast around Esperance.

  • Fourth Beach, Esperance, Australia. Going to the beach. Some of the best beaches in the world are around Esperance. Blue water, white squeaky sand, and crowds simply don't exist. Unfortunately, today is a bit too cool and cloudy to swim.
  • Twilight Beach, Esperance, Australia. Twilight Beach near the cache. Twilight Beach was voted the best beach in Australia in 2006. But I like Hellfire Bay just east of Esperance better.
Retrieve It from a Cache 11/19/2008 MooseBob retrieved it from Kalgoorlie GPS (Gold) Rush Western Australia, Australia   Visit Log

Kalgoorlie is an interesting place but this is not a "dog" cache...so on the road again.

Dropped Off 11/19/2008 MooseBob placed it in Kalgoorlie GPS (Gold) Rush Western Australia, Australia - 346.4 miles  Visit Log

The Dog Days arrive in Kalgoorlie.

  • The Super Pit, Kalgoorlie. Dogs like digging holes but THIS one is ridiculous! And the digging here goes on 24 hours a day. It's enough to make any dog proud.
Retrieve It from a Cache 11/15/2008 MooseBob retrieved it from It is all Majestic Western Australia, Australia   Visit Log

I'll take you for a little walk around the block.
