The Limbo Holiday Event Geocoin was designed by the geocacher Nachtwacht. The coin was distributed during the second "LIMBO HOLIDAY-EVENT 2008 - H2O GEOKESJ-TREFFE!" (GC1DV0T) on the 16th of August 2008 in Zuid-Limburg, the Netherlands. The event was organized by the geocachers "Nachtwacht", "Rebolim", "Mestreechteneer" and "Mr. X" and aimed to gather geocachers together to talk about their summer holiday experiences.

For the second "Limbo Holiday Event" in het Geuldal the geocacher "Nachtwacht" had designed and minted an official event geocoin, which was limited to 100 coins. An antique bronze finish was chosen for the geocoin representing the event location in the wildlife sanctuary "het Geuldal" near the Volmolen in Epen. The wildlife sanctuary belongs to the Vereniging Natuurmonumenten on which the proceeds net of the Geocoin was donated.

The front of the geocoin is taken in blue enamel and shows a stylistic artwork of a bird, fish and leaf (logo of the Vereniging Natuurmonumenten) surrounded by the words "Als je van Nederland houdt! (If you love the Netherlands!) and "Natuurmonumenten". The backside of the geocoin shows a 3D metalic relief of a kingfisher bird and is surrounded by the words "Limbo Holiday Event * Geuldal 2008".

Tijdens het Geocoinfest Europe 2015 in Eindhoven hebben we met veel plezier deze fraaie verzameling Geocoins mogen aanschouwen. Een prachtige verzameling waar de eigenaar terecht trots op mag zijn. Veel dank voor het laten zien van deze serie Geocoins.

Wir waren auf unsere Hochzeitsreise als wir einen Geocoin der Veranstalter in Hamburg gefunden haben. Als wir geschaut haben welche Aufgabe der Coin hatte haben wir das Geocoinfest entdeckt und haben es natürlich gleich in unser Reiseprogramm aufgenommen. Es war ein tolles Erlebnis gewesen und sehr Interessant wie viele verschiedene TB und Coins es auf der Welt gibt.

I attended the mega event in Eindhoven and had a great time which included seeing this excellent collection. My husband (medic143) sent the photo to the CO and got permission to log them all. Thanks to the CO for sharing.

I attended the Mega Event in Eindhoven and discovered this wonderful collection. The CO was find enough to send me the list on the 12th October but I'm only getting round to logging them in December - while on holidays finishing my Jasmir!

Afgelopen 26 September was daar het GeoCoinFest in Eindhoven. Een mega groot spektakel en een werkelijk walhalla voor TravelBug en GeoCoinliefhebbers.
Ikzelf was deze ochtend vrijwilliger en tijdens die werkzaamheden op een rustig ogenblik ook even snel een foto weten te maken bij deze prachtige collectie. Wat een enorme verzameling!! Daar zitten heel wat uurtjes verzamelarbeid in! Om maar niet te spreken van...

Geo-Dragonchild dankjewel voor het laten zien van je mooie collectie! En dankjewel voor de handige discover-service!!

Dich habe ich auf dem Geocoinfest Europe 2015 Netherlands in Eindhoven gesehen. Hier haben wir einen schönen Tag verbracht, einige Caches gehoben und ganz, ganz viele TBs und Coins discovert.

Für das Geocoinfest Europe 2015 Netherlands sind wir in Eindhoven angereist. Wie zu erwachten gab es hier neben Verkaufsständen auch einiges anderes zu sehen. Coin Ausstellungen in der oberen Etage, Signal in der unteren. Und natürlich viele bekannte und unbekannte Cacher. Diese hatten viele TBs ud Coins zum discovern dabei und zeigten diese auch gerne. Du warst einer davon.

[violet]I'm currently hitchhiking my way around Europe as part of a geocaching trip around the world. My first stop was Ireland where I spent a couple weeks touring the country. I then flew to London and spent a couple weeks touring the United Kingdom. From there I made my way through the tunnel and up to Amsterdam and then back down to Belgium. After that I headed for France. Then from there I headed to Portugal for a mega event that was happening. After that I headed for Denmark to attend another Mega event. I then made my way North into Sweden and then even further North to Norway. After that I proceeded to work my way back down South through Finland and then ferry hopped my way through a few of the islands to arrive back in Sweden. Next I made my way to Germany for another Mega event and then back to the Netherlands for still another mega event. I was then fortunate enough to see this collection of geocoins and have the opportunity to discover them all

Deze prachtige collectie coins gezien op het geocoinfest in eindhoven. Wat leuk om een verzameling te hebben die je kan delen zonder iets weg te geven!
