Retrieve It from a Cache 5/16/2009 Smudge & Daisy retrieved it from Sanctuary Manitoba, Canada   Visit Log

We're not going to B.C. but we can move the Big Red Bear west when we go to Saskatchewan. At least he will be going in the right direction! In the mean time he is enjoying watching the wild life near the La Salle River.

Grab It (Not from a Cache) 5/1/2009 Skoki grabbed it   Visit Log

Found this little fellow in Riel aux etudes cache and couldn't resist it! My name is "Skoki". I am named after a grizzly bear that was born in the Skoki Mountain range in the Canadian Rockies around Lake Louise, Alberta. Skoki is the male grizzly that now lives in the Calgary Zoo. He is huge (over 800 pounds) and is a beautiful animal. He has a sad, but interesting history. It's sad because he no longer lives in the wild; interesting because his legend is one that had him "walking into the bakery" in Lake Louise. (He didn't really, he just walked up to the bakery door and really scared the baker!) I will try to pass this along on his journey as soon as I can!
