There is no specific mission for this TB. I'd just like it to travel to lots of interesting places. If you would be willing to take a picture of the general area you found this TB in and post it on this web log that would be appreciated, however it is not required. Please do not take this TB to geocaching events since I've read about to many TBs going missing at those events and I'd hate for that to happen to this TB.

The King of Spades TB

The hitchhiker on this TB is a laminated King of Spades playing card. There is not any specific reason for choosing this card over any others I just randomly chose it. To everybody who will take the time to move this from cache to cache and update its movements I say thank you! Hopefully at some point in the future I'll be able to return the favor and move a TB or geocoin along for you!!!

The Champane Pools and Lake Birrabeen are located on Fraser Island - the world's largest sand island which covers an area of over 165,000 hectares. It is a treasure trove of biodiversity ranging from barren sandblows and salt sprayed coastal dunes through to dense mangrove and melaleuca swamps to tall open forests and lush rainforests, all growing in sand. The island also has the purest strain of dingoes in Australia.

Lake Birrabeen is a stunning crystal clear blue lake with a dazzling white sandy beach along its western shore. On a bright day, the colours can blow you away. Unfortunately, it was overcast the day we visited.

We were in the area as part of the annual clean-up of Fraser Island undertaken by Queensland 4x4 clubs. The Champagne Pools are a beautiful spot, and a terrific spot for a swim. 😁 At the right tide or during big swells, foam from ocean breakers spreads across the pools' surface like champagne, hence the name. 😎
