The mission is simple. Move me around from cache to cache in search of a real life Army Tanker! We have friends that are second generation Army Tankers and enjoyed their stories from Germany. If this finds you well then share a story and pass along.

About This Item

Army Tankers

A tank is a tracked, armoured fighting vehicle designed for front-line combat which combines operational mobility and tactical offensive and defensive capabilities. Firepower is normally provided by a large-calibre main gun in a rotating turret and secondary machine guns, while heavy armour and all-terrain mobility provide protection for the tank and its crew, allowing it to perform all primary tasks of the armoured troops on the battlefield.

The Reading Air Field is not quite a full-time military installation, but during a special weekend each summer it becomes a WW-II battleground, with US, Canadian, British, Nazi, Japanese, Australian, and all sorts of other camps, aircraft, mock battles, flights, etc. The WW-II weekend has been a highlight for us each summer - see http://www.maam.org/wwii/ww2_sched.htm for details!!
