About This Item

1000 Barrel of Monkeys - Sedalia MO

This travel bug commemorate's the owner's 1000th find. For me, geocaching has been more fun than "A Barrel of Monkeys". Play a game and log your high score. Mine was five monkeys. Pictures welcome! Here's some info. and the instructions: Barrel of Monkeys is a toy game first created by Lakeside Toys in 1965. Today it is produced by the Milton Bradley Company. The instructions on the bottom of the barrel state "Dump monkeys onto table. Pick up one monkey by an arm. Hook other arm through a second monkey's arm. Continue making a chain. Your turn is over when a monkey is dropped."

I know this bug wanted to "Head West" so that's where I started its journey! The event was a casual breakfast with great friendly cachers. I tried to find this bug a ride across state line but no one could promise that the bug would travel much so I retrieved it from the event and will place it in a special cache this afternoon.

Congratulations to Dennis on find 1,000! That's an achievement!
I feel honored to be the first cacher to move this TB. For those of you that don't know this TB's owner, he is a great asset to the caching community. Not only has he had 1,000 finds but has picked up trash, sponsored events, and put out numerous caches for the rest of us to find and enjoy,
Thank you for all you've done for our local caching area and hope you have even more fun on your NEXT 1,000!

Attended the event and discovered this TB, but did not play the game - had to get to caching. Thanks BikeDH for sharing this TB with us, and congratulations, on your 1000th find. Looking forward to many more with you in the future.
